Timerous beasties

I am quite interested in looking at Timerous Beasties work as he creates unique powerful interiors which are aesthetically pleasing on the eye. Beasties likes to create work which tackles an issue for example in this piece it was gang violence in London which when you investigate the piece more in depth you can quite clearly see this. He uses quite basic similar colours in this piece its blues which creates the toile de jouy look which at a glance creates a superb looking wallpaper or print. I think that these colours keep the emphasis on the piece not on one place.

I really like the detail in the illustrations themselves and I think that I could use this technique in my own work in this particular style as you can make something look nice but it still has meaning when you look deeper into it which is a similar concept with men talking about their feelings as they keep it in and put on a brave face but inside they have all types of emotions which they are bottling up linking quite nicely to Beasties work and one which I would really like to look at in depth more.

I think that this style also works well on garments so if I wanted to cross over the styles with someone like Paul Smiths garments then the style would still fit perfectly.
